Defender Alex Hartridge has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to welcome Derby County to SJP for the final midweek fixture of the season.
Hartridge has been a near ever-present in the heart of the City defence this season, appearing 44 times, and is once again looking forward to taking on another promotion contender.
"This is another big game, but perhaps one with less riding on it for us," he said.
"It's nice to have games that will naturally get you up for it. This was the gaffer's first game and it will be good to show them how far we have come since then.
"Performance wise we've come a long way but we need to have what we had in that Derby game which was 'it wasn't pretty but we dug in to get the result'. We have need it have that and then have the extra quality.
"This is a game we need to win."
