Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his reaction after the Grecians picked up a fine 2-0 win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park.
Ryan Trevitt’s first goal for the club – his first in professional football - set City on their way, before Demetri Mitchell doubled the lead late on in the match as the Grecians secured a third clean sheet in four League One matches.
Speaking about the win, Gary was keen to highlight the impact of the incredible 318 City fans that made the mammoth journey. He said: "The fans were amazing and I'm just thankful we could give them the win.
"It's a fantastic result after a difficult week, having to go to Portsmouth on Tuesday and having to recover. We left on Thursday afternoon to come down. A big thanks to the football club for backing the preparations to come here financially - it's a big cost but we got the win to repay everyone's efforts."
