Exeter City's new kid on the block, Ilmari Niskanen has given his first interview since swapping Dundee for Devon to become the Grecians' ninth summer signing.
The 25-year-old Finn made the 11-hour journey from the tangerine side of the Scottish city to join the club, and is excited to be a part of Gary Caldwell's side for the 2023/24 season.
"It feels really good and I'm very exicted to be here. I am looking forward to meeting all my teammates and the staff," he said.
"I've had quite a long journey - we arrived at 3.30am - and thankfully me and my girlfriend split the drive, but I'm delighted it's over!
"I'm very excited to play in English football because I grew up watching it, and it has always been a dream to play in England. I really enjoyed my time in Scotland, and I'm hoping it will be even better here.
"I've spoken with current and previous players here at the club, and they have all said great things. It is great having Vil [Sinisalo] here too, he's benn a great help to me already and helped my decision to come here. There aren't too many Finnish players in England, so it's nice to have one as a team mate!"
