Pierce Sweeney has spoken following City's 2-0 defeat away at Cambridge
City's captain played the full 90 minutes as City suffered defeat on the road at Cambridge. "It's a disappointing and frustrating evening. We were two yards off every second ball, we lost too many duels - the manager is big on duels."
Cambridge's first goal came as the ref awarded a penalty for a handball against Alex Hartridge. On that point, Sweeney said, "I'm not too sure on the penalty but even so we were awful for the first 15 minutes. It shouldn't take for us to go 1-0 down for us to start playing."
"[following the performance at Stevenage] We thought we would come into this game flying, and we haven't done that. That's on us. That's on me leading the team. We've let ourselves down and we've let the fans down."
