💬 Will Aimson on becoming a Grecian

Gary Caldwell’s third January signing Will Aimson has given his first thoughts as a Grecian following his permanent move from Bolton Wanderers on Friday.

Speaking from the team hotel in Milton Keynes ahead of City’s clash at MK Dons tomorrow, Aimson says he is excited for the new career challenge.

“I’m buzzing and happy to get it done. It’s all happened very quickly but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to join the club,” he said.

Aimson is no stranger to the South-West having previously played for Plymouth Argyle and is once again looking forward to being back closer to home.

“I’ve lived in Devon before and I’m from Bournemouth so I know the place well. It’s a lovely city and I’ve played here plenty of times. There is a great fan base and it’s a family club and you can tell how much it means to everyone. It’s been sold to me by the manager and everyone else here.

“I’ve got plenty of experience in this league and played a lot of games at this level so I will be looking to add that to the group as one of the older lads. I really want to help young players on and off the pitch.
