City fans heading to Portsmouth on Saturday are asked to pay their respects to two members of the Pompey Family.
Eight-year-old Ace Rewcastle tragically passed away after falling ill while on holiday in Barbados and being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.
Steve McLenaghan – known to Pompey fans as ‘Pompey Loyal’ – also died recently at the age of 52 and played a huge role in the fundraising efforts to save the club from liquidation in 2013 and the Tifosy campaign to build academy pitches.
Portsmouth have been contacted by family members and friends who would like to remember Ace with a minute of applause on eight minutes and Steve with a similar tribute on 52 minutes.
The teams will also be paying their respects to Ace by warming-up in special tops that have kindly been produced by Rinsed T-Shirts.
