Pierce Sweeney is preparing for Saturday's game at Fratton Park, as City take on Portsmouth in Sky Bet League One.
The defender, who made his 300th appearance in red and white in last week's draw with Forest Green, is looking forward to facing the side that held the Grecians to a goalless draw on Boxing Day.
"Portsmouth will probably have a bit of a spring in their step, having no manager means you can play a little bit freer," he said.
"There will be a lot of pressure on them being at home to get a result. The pressure is on them, the expectation is on them so we have to go there with no pressure or expectation on ourselves and stick to our game plan.
"We'll play free and look to get the three point."
