We are currently recruiting an Under 11 (U11) β Under 13 (U13) Lead Cell Coach to join our Academy on a full- time, permanent basis at our Cliff Hill Training Ground facility.
This is a new position and an exciting opportunity to join our supporter owned club which through the Exeter City Supporters' Trust has gone from strength to strength.
As part of our academy coaching team this role will work to proactively take forward the βNext Generation Planβ incorporating the specific needs of the players & staff within the U11 - U13 βEntryβ Cell.
The role is designed to support, guide and direct young players to maximise their potential in sporting performance & personal excellence as they transition through the U11 - U13 Cell. This will involve overseeing and delivering relevant, innovative and enjoyable coaching practice across the Cell and developing & progressing adaptable young players who aspire to play high quality possession-based football.
The successful candidate will lead and coach an individual age group within the U11 - U13 Cell as well as guide players to smoothly transition from the U8 - U10 Cell into the U11 - U13 Cell and onto the U14 - U16 Cell, feeding talented young players into the next level.
The U11 β U13 Lead Cell Coach will work from an aligned & periodised coaching curriculum that is constantly reviewed, therefore ensuring it is communicated weekly accordingly to all U11 - U13 players and staff is essential as well as making sure they fully understand and adhere to all rules & guidelines.
Other responsibilities include managing all aspects of practice and game planning within the U11 - U13 Cell, producing and communicating individual player learning plans (ILPβs) in collaboration with Age Group Coaches and pproviding evaluation reports that make recommendations for future improvements to the programme and Academy as a whole.
Candidates will need to be capable of working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and with all relevant parties, therefore effective communication skills are essential and the ability to build effective relationships is critical.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, professional, personable individuals with a willingness to learn and educate. Planning and programme writing/creating skills are essential and the successful candidate will need to be someone who will seek to resolve problems, take responsibility and ownership and adapt as needed.
Candidates will need to have their UEFA B licence and FA Youth Award. Experience of coaching young & youth team age players in a professional Club/Academy is essential and a Sports Science (athletic, strength & conditioning) background is desirable.
