📝 Match Preview: Mousehole (A)

Exeter City's pre-season preparations continue on Tuesday with the longest trip, as the Grecians head to Cornwall to face Mousehole in a 7:30pm kick-off.

City's first team will be looking to build on Friday's opening win at Tiverton Town as they make the two and a half hour trip to face Mousehole for the first time.

The match is part of a three-day training camp for the Grecians in Cornwall. City have links with Mousehole with assistant manager Kevin Nicholson, a former manager of the side in 2018-19, helping to arrange this match.

Mousehole won the Western League last season to become only the second Cornish side to reach the Southern League.

Gary Caldwell's thoughts

Speaking about making the trip down to Cornwall, manager Gary Caldwell said: "They are relishing spending the time together on and off the park. Next week will be good from a social aspect, getting to know the players in a different environment.

"Kev is a legend down there apparently so will be good for him to go back and see some people that he worked with. The big thing for going there is the pitch, as we really wanted to play on a good pitch. They have been very kind to give us use of that pitch to train the days after."

Kevin Nicholson's thoughts

Exeter City's assistant manager and former Mousehole manager caught up with Pablo Woolls-Blanco of Mousehole to discuss the match:
