New recruit Dion Rankine has shared his excitement of his first loan move having signed a season-long deal from Chelsea.
Rankine becomes signing number four of the summer and, speaking from the beach at Sennen where he linked up with his new teammates for surfing, says he is buzzing to get started.
“This is my first loan so I am so excited to get going,” Rankine said.
“I jumped straight in the car when I heard it was getting sorted and this is a great place to get to know the lads. Everyone here has been so kind and welcoming.
“I played against Exeter a few years ago so I know the club and the stadium, and it’s a great setup here, so I didn’t need to give it much thought. The club is a perfect fit for me because they’re all about development, and it’s an opportunity for me to get more minutes in men’s football.
“I’m a hard-working agile winger that likes to get one v ones, and cause problems for the opposition, creating chances for the team and myself.”
