📝 Match Preview: Fleetwood Town (A)

City make one of their longest trips of the season this weekend as they head to the Fylde peninsula to take on Fleetwood Town at the Highbury Stadium.

It is the Grecians' first trip to Fleetwood since 2013/14, when Scot Bennett's double sealed a 2-1 victory, and Gary Caldwell's men will hope to pick up another three points on the road and build on a marvellous week that saw wins over Accrington Stanley and Barnsley.

Fleetwood also picked up three points in their last fixture, beating Lincoln City 2-1 at home. They're also on a two match winning run, having also won 2-0 away at Derby County the previous week.

Gary Caldwell's Thoughts

Both City and the Cod Army have both won two on the trot, including wins over two of the top six, so will be matched in form as they take to the pitch this weekend, and Caldwell expects a tough fixture.

"The signings Fleetwood made in January in the attacking area has given them something they were missing," Gary said.

"And they have one threat we know very well [in Jayden Stockley]. Now they have the firepower to go and win games. Our players are ready and recovered and we will do some more work tomorrow on analysing Fleetwood.

"We'll show them some videos and then work on some more stuff on the training ground so we are ready for a big challenge."
