Harry Kite has given his thoughts as his goal helped the Grecians record a 3-1 win over promotion chasing Barnsley.
Kite fired in Jay Stansfield just minutes into the second half to kick City into the driving seat under the lights at SJP, as Gary Caldwell's men picked up a fourth home win in a row.
"We'd like to think SJP is becoming a fortress again and we it was a really special night tonight, that we got to share with the fans at the end," Kite said.
"We've shown what a threat we are in this league and we are really happy with our return in the last six matches. We back ourselves going into every game.
"Our aim tonight was to end their unbeaten run, and we've done that. This is a huge win for us and four in a row at home in massive.
"It was great work from Stanno down the line for my goal. I tried to finish it cleanly as I could and it was relaly nice to score in front of the Big Bank as all my goals have been down the away end!"
