Will Aimson has given his thoughts ahead of City's match with Shrewsbury Town at SJP on Tuesday, with the Grecians in desperate need of a positive performance and result.
Captain Aimson has spoken of the strong desire of the group to turn around recent fortunes, especially given the manner of the defeat to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
"We have to draw a line on Saturday, it was completely unacceptable. This is a massive game and we'll be doing all we can to get the points," Will said.
"We know what we are capable of in this squad and right now we are not doing it. We understand how difficult it is for the supporters, we feel like we are letting everyone down, and the staff down.
"It is understandable how fans reacted after the game - as I've said it's unacceptable. I've not been involved in many runs like this in my time and we are letting them down. We have to put that right, we're not looking far ahead, we're looking at the next game and that is what we can control.
"We want nothing more than clapping with the fans after a game and celebrating after a win, we need to do it for them more than anybody."
