Gary Caldwell is delighted to have brought two new signings to the club ahead of Saturday's match with Cheltenham Town, and has explained what the pair will bring to his side.
Yanic Wildschut and Caleb Watts joined the club on Friday, and Caldwell is excited by the duo. Wildschut is a player Gary knows well having been part of his successful Wigan Athletic side.
"I'm delighted to have Yanic as he's someone I've signed before. He was sensational for us and we had some good moments together, which means the bond lasts a lifetime," Gary said.
"The opportunity came about in the midst of our injury crisis and I spoke to Yanic and it felt like fate that we could get him in. He's played in a variety of positions and he will provide pace and power to the front line.
"I get on really well with him and I know how to get the best of him. He is a wide player that we can ask to be aggressive and take risks, and we will give him the belief."
Young attacking midfielder Watts was also handed a contract after a successful training period and Caldwell has outlined what caught his eye.
"We first saw Caleb at Morecambe last season and we saw his speed and quality. He became available and to be able to see him and get to know him over the last few weeks, it felt like it has worked really well for us.
"It is a fantastic signing because long term I feel we will get the very best out of him and allow his career to flourish.
"It isn't normal to sign two out of contract players with such quality that these two possess. Caleb has a real point to prove and here he can develop, and show the very best he can be."
Gary has also confirmed that our transfer business has concluded until January and no further additions will be made to the squad.
