Yanic Wildschut has given his first interview following his move to the Grecians on Friday.
The 31-year-old Dutchman is the 13th new face of the 2023/24 season, and is looking forward to being a part of Gary Caldwell's side.
"I'm very happy to be here, to have got the deal done and to be getting started," Yanic said.
"Gary is someone I know well and we have always stayed in contact. It was under him I played my best football and I'm pleased to play for him again.
"We were always there for each other at Wigan, we looked after each other, and hopefully we can do the same here. I hold him in really high regard and I cannot wait to get going.
"I'm here to help the team and hopefully my experience can help the younger players. I want to work hard and bring a lot to the team.
"I have seen some of the sessions here and there is a real quality in the group. It has been a good start and I want to be a part of continuing that. I can't wait to be there on Saturday at 3pm."
