📝 Match Preview: Reading (EFL Trophy)

Exeter City's attentions turn to the EFL Trophy this Tuesday with the visit of Reading to SJP for a 7pm kick-off.

The match is City's first group game of the campaign and sees the second visit of the Royals to SJP already this season.

City will be aiming to continue the fine start this season that sees them top of League One and in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The match will give Gary Caldwell the option to give minutes to those who have not started this season.

Gary Caldwell's thoughts

Speaking after Saturday's win over Cheltenham Town, Gary said: "We will assess the squad and make changes, whilst we have to abide by the rules of the competition.

"We will make sure people are getting minutes so when they are called upon, either as a starter or finisher they are able to do that.

Pedro Borges' thoughts

Ahead of the match, City midfield Pedro Borges gave his thoughts on the EFL Trophy:
