Goalkeeper Shaun MacDonald has given his first interview since joining the club on a short-term deal until January last weekend.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper arrived at the club ahead of last weekend's match with Leyton Orient.
"Kevin Miller rang me and explained our situation, with Vil being away, and asked if I'd come in for the week," Shaun said.
"I came in not really expecting a deal and I was offered one on Thursday, and I'm here to support the goalkeepers and fight for the shirt. There is a good group here and the results are showing at the moment.
"I was very grateful to Cheltenham for giving me my break in the Football League last year and I learnt a lot. For me, this natural progression and it's a brilliant club.
"I'm very excited to be here."
