Earlier this year, Exeter City FC became the latest League One side to sign up for StatsBomb’s advanced event data and state-of-the-art analytical tools.
The partnership highlights the club’s ambition to support both the performance and recruitment teams with data-driven insights, as they look to build on recent promotion success.
Since beginning the partnership at the start of the year, the club has worked hard to fully implement StatsBomb data into their processes, helping to move them up the league, and be hugely successful in the second half of the season.
The data access has enabled the club to integrate unique StatsBomb metrics, such as Pressures and HOPS into its performance analysis processes to better prepare for games.
The addition of StatsBomb's customisable visualisation platform has also enhanced the team's ability to compare how the squad has performed across key performance metrics throughout the season.
Exeter City will use StatsBomb's products throughout the summer transfer window, and over the course of the 24/25 campaign.
Speaking about the announcement, Fin Davies, Sales Executive, StatsBomb, said:
"We were delighted to start working with Exeter City at the start of the year, and are proud to see the incredible work Marcus and the team have done this season. We're looking forward to being a part of Exeter City's continued growth, by supplying them with our advanced data and analytical tools."
Marcus Flitcroft, Technical Director, Exeter City, added:
"As we continue to grow and improve our use of data at Exeter City, we are delighted to have this agreement with StatsBomb. The quality of their data and support will improve the output of our recruitment and analysis departments, giving us the ability to ask more questions and get better answers to support performances on the pitch."
