City defender and newbie to the squad Angus MacDonald has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on Charlton Athletic.
The January signing from Aberdeen made his debut in City's FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest and was also part of the side that kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Cambridge United last weekend. He spoke of how he has settled into life back in Devon and the upcoming fixture.
"It's been a good first few weeks with a couple of tough games to get stuck into. We've had two different games with two different performances - a massive away win a clean sheet and of course the cup tie."
"Cambridge was an ugly away performance, but we all dig in and sometimes that is better for team spirit - people throwing their bodies on the line.
"Onto Charlton and we know it'll be a difficult test. We know they're very direct and we can't let our standards drop."
