Ben Purrington on Cobblers point

After being back out on the pitch for his first start in over a month, Ben Purrington gave his thoughts on City's 1-1 draw with Northampton.

On his return to the eleven, the defender was pleased with the character shown by him and his teammates to fight back and earn a point.

"Overall you come away with a point at the end and it's a positive result because of the way we dug in. From going 1-0 down it's a poor goal that we concede and from there your fighting a tough battle against a team that's solid in the way that they play.

"I thought we showed really good character as a team, stuck together to grind out a point like that."

An early injury to Jack McMillan meant that the system was changed several times in the first half, but that's something Ben was content to adapt to.

"I started wing-back, then moved about into a few different positions because of the injury to Jack. With Jack going down we had to reshuffle. I played three different positions today but as long as I'm on the pitch, I'm happy to play."
