Exeter City will face League Two side Walsall in the first round of the Carabao Cup, following the draw made on Thursday morning.
The Grecians had a historic run in the competition last season, reach round four after wins over Crawley, Stevenage and Premier League side Luton Town before being beaten by Middlesbrough at St James Park.
The tie is set to place in the week commencing Monday, August 12.
