City to mark Remembrance prior to Charlton Athletic on November 9

Exeter City will be participating in 'Remember Together' at the pre-Armistice Day match with Charlton Athletic on Saturday, November 9.

The national 2024 Poppy Appeal launches on October 24 in England, Scotland and Wales. Collection boxes will be available in the Club Shop, Centre Spot and Heritage Lounge from that date for donations.

What has become a highly regarded on-pitch observation over the years will take place at St James Park prior to the 3pm kick-off when Charlton visit.

Remembrance at Exeter City

This year to ensure a 3pm kick off the last post will not be performed live by a bugler. The rest of the short respect activity will remain the same as previous years. Wreaths will be laid on the pitch by the Lord Mayor, both football clubs, match officials and the Trust.

As usual this creates an opportunity for a Grecian(s) to participate by laying a wreath on behalf of City supporters. To volunteer, please fill out the form below, giving your reason for wishing to take part before the closing date of 5pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Application not showing? Click here.

The intention is to notify the chosen person(s) by Thursday, November 7. In the usual inclusive fashion an invitation has also been made for a Charlton supporter to participate.

Tickets and hospitality are now on general sale for the match, to book please click here.

City players will wear poppy armbands which will be signed and auctioned post-match to boost the RBL appeal. Thank you to Cans4City the players will be warming up pre-match in special Remembrance t-shirts linking back to City players lost in combat. These will be auctioned post-match.
