Exeter City is pleased to announce a new partnership with Switch, a leading vehicle rental company under the Scot Group umbrella, which also operates Thrifty Car and Van Rental in the UK.
This collaboration represents a significant step in uniting around shared goals of sustainability, community impact, and excellence.
As part of the partnership, Switch will provide a fleet of vehicles to support the entire Club, including the Exeter City Community Trust, and these vehicles will play a vital role in enabling seamless transportation for matches, events, and community activities.
In a forward-thinking move, many of the vehicles in the fleet will be electric (EVs), highlighting the commitment of both Exeter City and Switch to driving sustainability. This initiative aligns with both organisations’ broader environmental goals, contributing to reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition to greener practices.
Joe Gorman, Exeter City’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Switch as part of the Exeter City family.”
“They are a company that shares our values of community and sustainability. The provision of electric vehicles supports the club’s day-to-day operations and aligns with our long-term vision. We look forward to working together to make a positive impact both locally and beyond.”
Martin Wilson, Managing Director at Switch, added “We are thrilled to partner with the club to support every level of their operations, from the first team and women’s team to the academy, as well as the vital work of the Community Trust and their initiatives across the region.
"This partnership builds on our long-standing relationship with ECFC and with more than 50% of the vehicles we are supplying being fully electric, represents a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation. We look forward to working closely with the club and embracing this partnership as we drive forward together, both on and off the pitch.”
