Gary Caldwell on draw with Burton

Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts after his Exeter City side were held to a goalless draw by Burton Albion at a wet St James Park.

Andrew Oluwabori looked to have won it late on, but for the offside flag, in a game that was disrupted by the wet Easter weather in Devon.

"We needed goggles and armbands more than football boots! I thought we were excellent in that first half and we should have scored more than once in that period. We were totally dominant and played some brilliant football in the middle third."

"We don't get that goal, and then it's clear what they [Burton] came for and it's hard to play against especially when the conditions get worse and it's hard to play the quick football.

"We were the only team trying to win the game and get that goal, and it wasn't for the want of trying. Kev McDonald was the conductor of our middle third play today, and our two tens caused them all sorts of problems in the lines, and there were lots of good things but you have to score when you are that dominant.

"Our lesson is to be more ruthless and clinical in the final third."
