Gary Caldwell on Good Friday

Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on Burton Albion in the penultimate home game of the 2024/25 season.

It will be a tricky test for City, who face a Brewers side who have had a miraculous turnaround in form to drag themselves out of the relegation zone last week for the first time since September, helped by City's win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday. The Grecians will be doing them no favours though.

"They are the form team at the bottom of the league and have really picked up. Gary Bowyer has done an incredible job with the challenge he has had. They recruited well in January and have been capable of beating anyone."

"The difficulty for them tomorrow is that they are being chased, rather than being the chaser, and that changes the psychology of a team and that might be a challenge for them. But we know, of our four remaining games, this is going to be a really difficult game.

"But we are a team in form that has only lost twice since we came back from La Manga [in February] and we really know where we are a team and have some good relationship. The big focus is how we approach the game and trying the finish the season with as many points as possible."
