Following City's narrow 1-0 loss to league leaders Birmingham City, Gary Caldwell shared his thoughts.
In a resilient defensive performance, the Grecians were undone by a goal right at the death of the first half, before a worrying injury to Vincent Harper halted play at the end of the game. Caldwell confirmed the latest on Harper and added his thoughts on the game.
"In the first half, I felt we were in control out of possession and didn't feel they hurt us and our defence was compact.
"The only chance they had was first half and that really hurt us with the timing. I think we can be so much better and be braver and recognise where the free player is, and we have to commit more. I questioned the players if we felt we could really win today because I didn't see that.
"I think the game was there for us today at moments and if we were at our best we would have got something from the game."
