Gary Caldwell's thoughts on Wrexham defeat

Following the Grecians' 3-0 defeat to Wrexham on the road, Gary Caldwell shared his thoughts.

City were beaten by three headers - two from corners - and had a legitimate Caleb Watts goal ruled out for offside on an afternoon that went against the Grecians.

"I'm disappointed to lose, and I'm disappointed in the manner of how we lost."

"We lost in a way where we showed the threat Wrexham had that we knew all about - from corners and crosses. We didn't deal with it.

"We started the game well but throughout the first half we didn't win enough duels, we weren't aggressive enough and we didn't run enough. We were outmuscled in that initial period.

"We scored a fantastic goal just before half-time which for some reason the lino has ruled offside. I've heard a statement I've never heard in my life where the referee didn't know so just gave it to them..."
