Ilmari Niskanen has shared his excitement as City's pre-season matches kick-off with a trip to Tiverton Town on Tuesday evening.
After summer spent in his native Finland and with the Huuhkajat national team, Niskanen is back with his club teammates and looking forward to being back on the pitch.
"I spent the whole summer in Finland which was really nice and had a chance to relax in a proper Finnish summer. It was great to be home and see my family and friends, and get a chance to play against Portugal and Scotland as well," Imi said.
"It's been great to be back at training but of course it has been really tough as well. I think Les has been a great addition to the staff and he brings so much energy. We have been training really really hard, and it hasn't always been enjoyable.
"I actually do love pre-season though because I love pushing myself as it's the only way in which I will get better.
"I can't wait to see the fans and get back on the pitch."
