Ahead of this weekend's under-18 Devon Derby in the Youth Alliance Cup, Jacca Cavendish sat down to preview Argyle's visit.

The centre-back is in the second year of his scholarship but has only made his first appearances for the under-18s after suffering an ACL injury in March last year. Before discussing this weekend's fixture, Jacca spoke about his long road to recovery.

"It's been tough, it's been a long time. I've been out for 18 months and it's been tough not being able to do what I love.

"To be social in the group was hard when you're not really with them at all," Jacca explained. "I just tried to be around, in the changing room, as much as I could but it's tough."

The under-18s have had a difficult start to the season with a heavy defeat away at Gillingham and then AFC Wimbledon snatched a last minute winner at the Cliff Hill last week in a topsy-turvey match. However, Jacca believes in the quality of his teammates to overcome Argyle and have a successful season.

"It's always a bit of a dogfight against Plymouth, emotions sometimes get the better of you, but we want to try and play our way. Not neccessarily scrap, but make sure we come out on top of all our duels."

"We can kill any team in possession the way that we play, we'll break down most teams."
