With just seconds remaining on the clock, 17-year-old Jake Richards slotted home his first League One goal in front of a packed Big Bank to seal City's 3-1 win against Bristol Rovers.

The young midfielder sat down after City's thrilling Westcountry Derby win to share his thoughts on the game.

"It's a great feeling, something that you dream of as a kid. For that to happen in that game, in a derby, I don't really have many other words."
Jake Richards summing up his thoughts on scoring in the last minute to seal all three points.

City came from behind for the second time in five days to take all three points against the Gas, despite Rovers posing a significant threat to the Grecians at times throughout the 90.

"They posed a real threat to us, a lot of chances, a lot of balls in the box, but the boys in defence were really good, keeping them out and giving us a lifeline to go and attack," Jake continued.

"The gaffer always says whoever is on the bench has to be ready to come and impact the game, and I thought when Kami and I came on we played quite well.

"He knows what I like to do, I know what he likes to do and two of the goals came from me and him linking up."
