Josh Magennis has given his thoughts as he previews the friendly double-header against Brentford B and Torquay United on Tuesday afternoon.
Magennis has bagged three times so far this summer with headers at Mousehole and Oxford United, and a spot-kick against Bristol City, and hopes that his scoring can continue into the League One season that kicks off in just 12 days time.
“Up to the Mousehole game pre-season was very mental and physical – but now it’s more football based and game time, with the games flowing,” Josh said.
"Hopefully that continues into the season.
“I think the game against Brentford is going to be more tactical and probably more possession based – there’s probably a lot of aspects we can probably look to try and exploit. It’s how we play the high press and how we play on the transition because Brentford will look to replicate how their first team play.”
