Assistant manager Kevin Nicholson has given his thoughts ahead of City's Vertu Trophy (formerly Bristol Street Motors Trophy) tie with Birmingham on Tuesday evening.
The match comes just two weeks after Blues won 2-0 at SJP in the league and despite both sides being expected to make changes to their line-ups for this match, Nicholson expects it to be just as tough.
"They are the best team in the league and we can now say that having played all the top teams. Birmingham have depth and you expect them to make changes and still be incredibly strong."
"They won't change the way they play and they will back themselves as individuals and as a group. It's a challenge for us and that's the beauty of the competition and the beauty of what is coming.
"It's up to us to make sure we are ready and we know what they are about from a couple of weeks ago. We will go out there and give it a good go."
