Emirates FA Cup first round action returns to SJP this weekend with the visit of National League side Barnet to Devon.
Exeter City will look to improve on last season's campaign in the competition when they were beaten at home by Wigan Athletic, while the Bees hope to make it to the second round for the third season in a row, having been beaten by Newport County at the Hive last season at that stage of the competition.
In league action, Barnet are going well in the fifth tier, sitting third after 16 matches with 11 wins and five defeats - they have lost two of their last three in the league though - 4-3 at Solihull Moors and 3-1 at York City, who are top. The North Londoners have already played one match in the FA Cup this season, a 4-0 win at home against Chelmsford City in the fourth qualifying round.
The Grecians come into the game on the back of a 3-2 win at Bristol Rovers in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on Tuesday night, as Demetri Mitchell marked his long awaited return from injury with the winning goal.
Match Info
The winner will head through to the second round. If it is tied after 90 minutes, the match will go to extra-time and, if needed, penalties.
Gary Caldwell Thoughts
"Hopefully this year we can do something special and people can talk about this team for years to come. But it's a really tough draw for us.
"When the draw comes up you want a home draw and probably against a struggling side, but we are coming up against that a doing really well.
"The league they are in is irrelevant. They are confident, will have belief, and know how to win football matches."
