Exeter City host a Brazil Takeover day for our first home league match of 2025 on Saturday, as we host Bolton Wanderers in a 3pm kick-off.
The Grecians will be looking to react to New Year's Day's late dramatic defeat to high-flying Wycombe Wanderers as they host the Trotters at the Park. Prior to the defeat City had ended 2024 in good form, picking up seven points from the three festive fixtures.
Bolton come to SJP on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Mansfield Town and sit three points ahead of City in League One in tenth place.
The sides faced back in August where a Kamari Doyle stunner and Millenic Alli's poacher finish earned a 2-0 win at the Toughsheet Stadium.
Brazil Takeover
To coincide with the 111th anniversary year of when City faced Brazil, we will be kicking off 2025 by turning our sleepy corner of Devon into Rio de Janeiro for one day only, as we host a festival of all things Brazilian at St James Park – and hopefully the lads play like Brazil too!
From Cairpirinhas in the Fan Zone bar, to live samba music and performances, a chilly January day will feel like the height of a South American summer. There will be a taste of Rio on offer and we will have authentic Brazilian food and drinks on offer as well as Brazil themed merchandise in the Club Shop. Dignitaries from Brazil will be attending the celebration.

Previous Encounter
Bolton Wanderers 0 Exeter City 2 | 31/8/24 | EFL Sky Bet League One
A man-of-the-match performance from Kamari Doyle on his first league start inspired City to a 2-0 victory away at Bolton Wanderers.
The Brighton loanee opened the scoring just after the half hour mark when he scored from a free-kick he won 30 yards out. Then, moments after the game restarted for the second half, Doyle's corner was flicked on by Josh Magennis to meet Millenic Alli at the back post, who tapped into an empty net for two.
