Match Preview: Bolton Wanderers (A)

Bolton match preview image

Exeter City head to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday looking to arrest a run of two league defeats in a row and make amends for last season's shattering defeat at the same venue.

City were beaten 7-0 at the Toughsheet Stadium in November 2023 but this is a new season and vastly different squad, and the Grecians will head to Lancashire with positives to take from recent performances, despite defeat.

The Trotters were beaten 1-0 by Charlton Athletic in their last match at the weekend, with their last home match a goalless draw against Wrexham.

Gary's Thoughts

Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts ahead of the Grecians' trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

City make the trip to the Toughsheet Community Stadium looking to bounce-back from two straight league defeats at Northampton and at home to Peterborough, but Caldwell expects another tough afternoon.
