After a chaotic 5-3 win over Barnet in the first round, the Grecians will be hoping to make it more routine this time around, but face a Chesterfield side who have been going well in the fourth tier. They won in the first round, beating Horsham 3-1 at home.
City were beaten 2-0 by Birmingham City on Tuesday evening, while the Spireites beat Barrow 1-0 on Saturday in their last fixture.

Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on League Two side Chesterfield at St James Park on Saturday, hoping to make it to the third round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time since 2021.
"What we are a side is learning from the game we have just had an implementing principles we feel can be better. We always focus on ourselves and on the game, not looking ahead, and we will work on that tomorrow. If we take that into the game, I believe we can beat anyone."

Exeter City kept up their hopes for automatic promotion with a vital 2-1 win over Chesterfield at St James Park. Jayden Stockley opened the scoring for the Grecians in the first half before an own goal from Alex Whitmore put City two goals to the good. The Spireites hit back through Andy Kellett late on but the Grecians did well to hold onto a precious three points.
