Exeter City return to Carabao Cup action on Tuesday night, as they look to rekindle memories of last season's memorable run in the competition.
The Grecians head to League Two outfit Walsall in the first round hoping to use Saturday's opening day win against Rotherham as a springboard.
City reached the fourth round last season with wins over Crawley Town, Stevenage and Premier League side Luton Town, before running Championship Middlesbrough close in a 3-2 defeat despite two thunderbolts from Ryan Trevitt.
Walsall were also beaten by second tier opposition in last season's Carabao Cup, losing 4-3 to Blackburn Rovers in a first round thriller. They began their league campaign at the weekend with a 1-0 home victory Morecambe.
Kevin Nicholson's Thoughts
Assistant manager Kevin Nicholson has given his thoughts as City prepare to kick-off their Carabao Cup campaign away at Walsall on Tuesday evening.
City will hope they can have a run as good - if not better - than last season when they reached the fourth round of the competition, and hope to build on Saturday's opening day win at St James Park against a hotly-tipped Rotherham United side.
"The competition is brilliant. Of course it's the next game, but for us now we have a squad that means players will be given an opportunity, some through necessity and others who have worked hard and deserve that.
