Following City's first defeat in seven matches against Wrexham, Ryan Trevitt shared his thoughts.
The Brentford loanee played the full 90 as two goals, each coming midway through either half, condemned the Grecians to defeat.
"They're a side who are really effective at what they do," said Ryan. "They're solid defensively and they've found ways to score. It's frustrating because there wasn't too much in the game, but they're effective at what they do.
"That's why they're doing so well this season."
Ryan did talk about though the positives of City's performance, and how it can be built on starting at Barnsley on Tuesday and going into the final stretch of games this season.
"We need to know what we're good at and target those things. Be solid, keep picking up second balls and find ways to be effective in the final third and score goals."
