Exeter City Football Club is a special club with 20 years of Supporters’ Trust ownership.  We are proud to be different and put our supporters and community engagement at the forefront of everything we do.

The 2023/24 season was a great season with highs and lows and we know we could not have achieved what we did without our team of staff. As we look ahead to 2024/25 season we are excited to welcome back staff members and offer new work opportunities to individuals within the city and further afield that our happy to commute to St James Park. ​

A new season brings new opportunities and we are looking forward to enhancing our one team approach to achieve our goals, build on our success and continue to grow and develop what is already our very special supporter owned club.  

We are recruiting positive, dynamic individuals with excellent communication skills to join our matchday team working within one of our food & drink or retail outlets or as part of our security team in a steward or gate staff role.  We also have matchday opportunities available within our ticketing and programme sellers department. 

Candidates don't have to have previous experience as we will train and develop anyone joining the team, however candidates must be friendly, willing to learn, committed to working as many home matchdays as possible and want to be part of the Club and it's success. Having achieved Gold for a fourth year in a row we are really proud to have been recognised for our exceptional family matchday experience in the EFL Family Excellence Award. In line with this candidates will want to build on this success, be respectful and proud of our heritage and share our ambition for what we can achieve.  ​

Joining our matchday team you will support us in creating a collaborative environment, an environment where all staff feel valued and understand their contribution to the Club. Duties will vary dependant on specific role however all matchday positions will offer a minimum of a 4 hour shift. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn some extra money as these seasonal roles may fit around an existing job or be a great opportunity if you are studying in the city at the university or college or within the local area (our city centre location offers good transport links).  This may also be a great opportunity if you have taken a career break and are looking to get back into work or looking for your first job, whatever your circumstances if you are willing to learn and can work effectively as part of a team one of our matchday roles may be the right role for you.

We are proud to pay Real Living Wage which is currently £12 per hour which is the rate independently calculated based on rising living costs including fuel, energy, rent and food. As a Real Living Wage employer we have chosen to pay the rate of pay as recommended by the Living Wage Foundation which promotes paying workers an hourly rate that ensures they have what they need to afford everyday life.
