Women's Match Preview graphic for Billericay Town (A) on Sunday 2 February at 2pm at the New Lodge Stadium

Exeter City Women head to Billericay Town this Sunday for a 2pm kick-off at the New Lodge Stadium as they search of their first three points of 2025.

After a fortnight break following the team's 1-1 draw with Gwalia, Abbie Britton's side will be determined to return to winning ways in Essex. The Grecians will face a revitalised Billericay side who's manager has had time to work with his side since their last meeting, a 4-1 win for City in December.

The trip to Billericay will also mark a return to the site of City's historic League Cup Plate quarter-final win last season, where the Grecians won 2-0.

The Opposition

When City and Billericay last clashed at the start of December, Colin Reid had only been in charge of his squad for a couple of days, having taken over from former Gibraltar boss Adrian Parral. Since that game, the Blues have lost twice more in the league to Watford and Hashtag United, however they've picked up victories in two local cup competitions, momentum Reid will want his side to take into this match.

New signing Elicia Mulvaney scored in Town's win against Bowers and Pitsea, the former Oxford and London Bees striker returning to the UK after spending some time in America.

Currently sat in 8th place, seven points above the final relegation spot with a game in hand, Town will be looking to improve on last season's 10th place finish, and with three more points they would beat their previous tally.

Previous Encounter

It's been just over two months since City last faced Billericay, with the visitors making their second trip to Devon this season after the first game was abandoned. Two goals in either half gave City a comprehensive 4-1 win ⬇️
