Northampton Town preview

Exeter City are back at the Park on Saturday for the first time in a couple weeks, as we host Northampton Town in a 3pm kick-off in EFL Sky Bet League One.

City will be looking for a response to Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic as they take on a Cobblers team just above us in the table. The Grecians have been in Spain at La Manga since Sunday evening for a warm weather training camp.

Northampton come into the match on the back of a narrow defeat to Barnsley on Tuesday night but have picked up three wins in their last five matches.

Your passionate support is often the difference maker at the Park and we need you on Saturday as we look to get back to winning ways!

Gary Caldwell's thoughts

With the team currently in Spain on a warm weather training camp - Gary will be taking his weekly press call on Friday this week!

Previous Encounter

Northampton Town 2 Exeter City 1 | 17/8/24 | EFL Sky Bet League One

Exeter City lost for the first time this season as two second half goals secured three points for Northampton Town at Sixfields.

Tristan Crama put City ahead with his first goal for the club within the first ten minutes when he headed a corner home at the back post.

Despite several more chances and dominating the game in spells, Northampton made a resurgence in the final 25 minutes and flipped the game on it's head, with Callum Morton and Cameron McGeehan scoring to win the Cobblers three points.
