Northern Ireland international striker Josh Magennis joined the Grecians on June 27, following his release from Wigan Athletic at the end of last season.
The 33-year-old 6ft 2 forward, who has made 79 appearances for his country, arrives in Devon on a one-year contract to continue his career that has seen him make almost 600 appearances in the Championship, League One, League Two and the Scottish Premiership.
Magennis began his career as a youngster in Northern Ireland as a goalkeeper before switching to the attack in 2008 ahead of turning professional.
He joined the academy at Cardiff City – signing his first pro deal in 2009, playing ten times before a loan move to Grimsby Town. He joined Aberdeen in 2010 and stayed four years in the north of Scotland, scoring ten. He also spent time in Scotland with St Mirren and Kilmarnock.
The Bangor-born striker joined Charlton Athletic in 2016 and scored 20 times in 81 appearances for the Addicks in League One. A year with Bolton was followed by Hull City, where Josh scored 26 times in 88 across the second and third tier, gaining promotion with the Tigers in 2020-21, bagging 19 goals that season.
