Pat Jones joined City on a permanent undisclosed deal from Huddersfield Town on a one-year deal, with a club option of a second on transfer deadline day.
The Welsh under-21 international, who is a left-footed winger but can operate on either side of midfield, has got seven caps for the Dragons youth team, and is in their squad for their upcoming Euro 2025 qualifier against Iceland.
Despite being born in Stockport, Pat began his career at Welsh side Ruthin Town, before moving on to Bala United and then Wrexham. He joined Huddersfield Town’s academy in 2019 and turned professional a year later.
Since then, he’s gone on to make 18 appearances for the Terriers, scoring once against Norwich – a superb solo goal running from the half-way line. He’s also come off the bench once already this season, appearing against Walsall in the EFL Cup.
