Originally from Cornwall before relocating to Ivybridge, Liam Oakes has been at City's academy since being an under-9.

Liam is a versatile player who can play at wing-back, full-back or in central midfield, the position he made his first team debut in for City against Walsall in the Carabao Cup. He later was named player of the match during his home debut against Swindon Town in the EFL Trophy in early September 2024.

Currently a second year scholar, Liam signed full-time with the academy after leaving school in 2023.
