Player Biography

Cheick signed as a scholar at Exeter City and moved to Devon following his release from Stevenage as an under-16.

Since signing for club he has become an aggressive ball winning centre half who really values defending and protecting the box, as well as a firm fans favourite amongst the Big Bank faithful.

Cheick's break came in the winter of 2022, when recalled from a loan at Truro amongst an injury crisis he made his debut atv Sutton United on New Year's Day. He would stamp his name on his first team spot before scoring his debut EFL goal against Leyton Orient.

His first season in League One saw Cheick make 23 appearances as well as scoring against MK Dons, before making a further 32 in his second third tier season.

Cheick extended his contract in April 2024 until the end of the 2025/26 season, firmly committing his future to Exeter City.
