Tony Yogane joins City on loan!

Welcome Tony!

Exeter City FC is delighted to announce the signing of exciting winger Tony Yogane on loan from Premier League side Brentford until the end of the 24/25 season.

19-year-old Tony is a product of the Sheffield Wednesday set-up and signed for Brentford as a sixteen-year-old in 2022, joining their B team. Tony made two first team friendly appearances during the 2023/24 pre-season and ended a "breakthrough" B team season with 29 appearances for the Bees.

This season, Tony has already had a taste of first-team life at Brentford when he came on as a sub in their Carabao Cup win against Leyton Orient at the Gtech Community Stadium, he has also been featuring heavily for the B-team.

The loan is Tony’s first in professional football and further strengthens City’s links with Brentford, after successful loan spells for Ryan Trevitt and Tristan Crama.

Speaking about bringing Tony to Exeter, manager Gary Caldwell said: “Tony is a player that has been on our radar for a little while now. He had a few League One clubs after him so I’m delighted he has chosen to join us until the end of the season.

“He is an exciting attacking player who is excellent in 1v1 situations with his speed and power. This is his first professional loan spell, so we have to make sure we give him time and support to get fully up to speed, but he is a very confident and hungry young player.

“The loan again strengthens our links with Brentford after the successful spells of Ryan Trevitt last season, and Tristan Crama this season, and we are excited to work with Tony.”

Welcome to Exeter City, Tony!
