Exeter City Women is delighted to announce the signing of two players on loan from Bristol City Women.
Maya Kendell and Fearne Slocombe have joined until the end of the season, strengthening Abbie Britton’s squad at a crucial part of the season. Both players are regulars in the Robins’ under-21 squad, and have made the move to Devon to further their development.
19-year-old full-back Maya has previously started for the Robins in the League Cup, after making her professional debut in the competition against Tottenham Hotspur last season. Kendell graduated from Bridgwater United's academy and has previous tier three experience after making thirteen appearances for the Robins in the 2022/23 season.
Fearne is an 18-year-old centre-back, who made her Robins debut in the League Cup against Manchester City when she was only 16, also appearing in the Women’s Championship this season.
At the end of the 2024/25 season, Fearne was awarded the Robins High Performance Award, given to the player who has shown excellence in their performances throughout the season, whilst maintaining great potential to take their development further.
On the double signing, Abbie Britton said: “When you've got the opportunity to bring in two players from Bristol who have got the experience they've got at such a young age already, was a no brainer for us.
"We're a small, tight-knit squad anyway and we needed to add depth in the areas they play. It was an obvious solution."
Maya has been allocated the squad number 13 and Fearne number 5. Welcome both!
