Main Sponsor HEL Performance extends commitment in record breaking deal

Hel extend sponsorship

Exeter City and front of shirt sponsor HEL Performance are delighted to announce a new long term partnership in what is the club’s biggest ever sponsorship deal.

The manufacturing company, which is based on the edge of the city, has signed up to a further five years of sponsorship, taking it to 2029 – and it has increased its commitment to the Exeter City family to include the Women’s team and the Academy

HEL Performance designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes race-winning braking products and related services for the automotive industry. It produces all of its mainline stainless steel and aluminium products on its own machines from its factory near Whitestone, on the edge of Exeter.

Simon Lane, Chief Executive of HEL Performance, said: “We’re delighted to have signed on for a further five years. The decision was really a no brainer for us as we've enjoyed being part of the club so much. It feels like an amazing time to part of this as the club is going from strength-to-strength.

“Although it was a great season, that wasn’t our main motivation, which is that we just want to support our local team, what they've achieved so far, and support how they are growing - it's an all round great story. We're impressed with the club and with everything we've seen and we get so much more back from it than we put in.”

The company’s commitment has extended to include the third strip, in addition to the home and away strips, the Exeter City Women and the Academy. The new season EFL deal with Sky also means there will be additional opportunities for exposure to a global audience.

Simon added: “The new EFL coverage on Sky this year is also going to be massive for us in terms of exposure and brand awareness. As well as that, it’s about being from Exeter; we're very proud of our heritage and of our roots in Exeter and this takes it to a much wider audience.”

“Since we’ve been involved, we’ve had this this feeling of unity and it's so great to be a part of it. You can really see passion everyone has for the club and it's given us a real boost in terms of how we feel as a company. Of course, there is also the ownership model which really is one of the most important aspects for us, as well as the huge amount of work the club does in the community. I don’t know of any other club who does it to that extent – they have got it bang on.”

Matthew Dawes, Commercial Manager at Exeter City Football Club, said: “We are delighted that HEL Performance has extended its sponsorship. We feel extremely fortunate to have such a committed partner, and this really does feel like a partnership. They are a fantastic company and it is a privilege for us to be able to support their aims and ambitions.

“Since Simon and the team have come on board, they have been 100% committed to the club in helping us reach our goals and objectives, nothing is too much trouble for them. It is not just about a logo on a shirt, it is about support that works both ways, with HEL Performance assisting and supporting us in our drive to become a sustainable League One club and taking the next steps in our journey, and Exeter City taking the HEL Performance name across the country and even further with their branding appearing on both TV and video game platforms. Knowing that HEL Performance are with us long term makes it possible for us to take the club even further.”
