Luke Moore drew the scores level for the hosts after the interval with a shot from outside the box which caught Artur Krysiak unsighted.
Reid's day got better though when he latched on to a chest-down by Arron Davies and smashed home his and Exeter's second.
However Luke Moore was alert again just minutes later to tie up the scores again with another firm strike from outside the box.
