Your chance to play at the Park

Unique opportunity for fans, companies and clubs

Although all of us at Exeter City are naturally hugely disappointed at not making the play-offs, it does give us the opportunity to open up St James Park for all the regular schools, youth and league games.

Mike Radford, Football Secretary, had been in touch with all of the organisations involved in early February with offers of dates for their requested matches – one if we made the play-offs or an earlier one if we didn’t – and these games are now under way and will be completed on 6 May.

The early finish also means we now have some dates available for fans, clubs and businesses to take advantage of, before Clive Pring and his groundstaff get to work on the annual maintenance of the pitch – much needed after the extraordinary weather we have seen this season – and there’s plenty to do before the first team squad are back in friendly action in early July.

So take a look at these opportunities that are laid out below and, if you’re interested, then either email Dave Evans at david.evans@exetercityfc.co.uk or ring him on 07827 871723

Your chance to compete on a Football League pitch

• Changing facilities provided
• Kit not provided (bibs will be available in case of colour clashes)

SATURDAY 4th & SUNDAY 5th MAY
The pitch is available on both these days for groups of fans, companies or clubs to take for two hour sessions, one morning and one afternoon.  During the period teams are welcome to use the pitch as they wish – for example, to play a full 11-a-side game or a series of shorter, 11-a-side games.
Play an inter-departmental 5- or 7-a-side tournament (the pitch can be divided into a series of smaller pitches if required).

Why not produce your own programme and provide a trophy for winning teams, play for charity, even play in fancy dress or men v women?  It’s your choice how seriously you take this rarely offered chance to play on a football league pitch!

• The dressing rooms will be made available
• Officials can be provided at a reasonable extra cost
• Professional warm up and coaching session can be provided at a small additional cost
